The Land of Me - A Review
As Car gets older and wants to spend time on the computer like Bel, I was finding it hard to find things for her to do. There is also only so many Peppa Pig or Ben and Holly games I can play. So I was happy to hear about The Land of Me.
The Land of Me is best described as an interactive digital story books with games, activities and printouts that you can share with your children. It inspires imagination and its done so well.
The story is based on the adventures of three animals, Willow (the Owl - Car's favourite), Eric (the raccoon - Bel's favourite) and Buddy Boo (who looks so sad I want to give him a big hug). You can follow the animals to different parts of the Land of Me and with it your child learns. The first chapter which is available for free to download helps with shape, size and colour.
I was lucky enough to get all chapters of it to review (they normally retail at £6.95, or you can buy the whole pack for £29.95) and can I just say WAW and Thank You.
Its aimed at children aged 2-6, and as Car is now 3 she loves it. I mean she loves it. She now asks for dancing animals mummy (her favourite chapter is Rhythm and Dance). Bel, on the other hand was a bit stand offish about it at the start (because I'm nearly 7 Mummy!), but she now loves it too. We all love pressing the space bar and watching for the new thing to happen.
And the fun doesn't stop there, there are also off the computer activities that you can print out and carry on with the playing. You can also buy these activities in books from the website (priced again at a reasonable £6.95)
So, just in case its a wet half term why don't you have a look at the Land of Me and keep your child happy as well as helping them develop. Don't just take it from me, have a look at some of the screenshots below or why not take a peek at the video on the website.
