Memories
It's funny how we remember things...
I can still quote the first line of A Merchant of Venice even though the last time I read it was 1991 (oh am so old!) In sooth I say I am not sad, it wearies me you say it wearies you... this is probably wrong now as I haven't google checked it!
Poetry also sticks with me as I love reading it, reciting it and the girls have also enjoyed learning and reading new and different poetry.
A memory from an A-Level textbook brings back this poem:
Big Fleas have little fleas upon their back to bite me
And little fleas have big fleas and so on ad infinitum
What an odd thing to remember - ask me what someone said on a tv programme yesterday and my brain blanks out but that I remember
