An apology

I need to apologise for the tone of my last post. It seems that it is not fair on me to push my feelings onto my kids. They have the right to enjoy a good party and not feel like I don't want to be there (even if I don't). I will join in for them, so that they have a good time and do not feel like pariahs. Yes, I've been given a good talking too and am taking back my words!

So, in a bit I will be off to not one but two street parties, one a few yards from our front door in our village and the other to our adopted home where the kids go to school and where once we lived. It may be a good thing that the second is near a pub as I may need it! I hope that if you have feelings like me that you too will go and do it for the kids.
