A dinosaur day out
As it was the last day of half term yesterday and I had booked the day off ( the only day over the entire week!!) we decided to take the girls on an adventure.
Having got up early we eventually managed to leave at 10 after getting new wellies for Car and a new outfit each for her and Bel due to Bel stretching again and all her jeans getting too small on her!
So off we went.
It was a lovely drive down to our destination even if it was raining and a bit blustery but by the time we got there it had dried out. So where was there, well this is the first thing I saw after getting out of the car:
Cool, isn't he - Car got so excited I had to put her wellies on super fast!! I mean you can't blame her - this is what the car was parked next to!
So yes we had arrived to Dan yr Ogof National Showcaves Centre which also happens to have dinosaurs around the centre. The girls were so happy even though Bel's dinosaur knowledge was tested - she did find it fun finding out about all the different ones though!
So after looking around at all the dinosaurs we went into the caves - they are beautiful and even Car enjoyed going into them - even if it was only because of the muddy puddles!!
So the day out was enjoyed by all! Asking the girls what the enjoyed most and answers ranged from : dinousaurs, horses (at the Shire horse centre which is part of the price) and waw caves to muddy puddles.
I would suggest that if you are down in that part of Wales that you go there - a Barenakedmummy and family thumbs up to it.
