Lucky us

We are so lucky were we live. 20 minutes from our house and we are in countryside like this:

We do try and take the kids out to enjoy the countryside as often as possible.  Bel even has her own pair of binoculars that she got as a birthday present. We do love to spot things when we're out and about. Last week, on a trip to the local sand dunes we spotted loads of caterpillars, butterflies and a lizard. This week on our walk we spotted several birds, squirrels and a frog. We would obviously have spotted more but due to Car and her lack of volume control we do have an issue with this. I apologise to anyone yesterday who was out and about hoping to see many nesting birds for my daughters loudness. We try and give her a job when we're out and about, yesterday it was finding the red arrows, which she could only do at very loud volume. Neb and Bel at one point spotted a snake, but by the time me and the noisy one (Car) got back to it - it had gone (which I'm quite glad for !!).

PS You too can enjoy our lovely countryside, if you tune into Springwatch (go here to see what we didn't!)
