Crazy fads

In our house we didn't have any crazy fad toys. I don't believe them. I mean we have Playmobil and Lego ranges (duplo, quattro and lego!) but nothing mad, nothing random or so I thought.

The girls are now back from spending 4 days at their grandparents - and what have they bought back - well these:

Do you recognise them, they are zhu zhu hamsters, part of the zhu zhu pet range. They are interactive, hamsters who have their own world which they'll play around - or something like that - I haven't really looked into them. They are noisy and the cats don't like them. One friend thinks they're oh so cute, while another says they freak her out because they chatter to themselves when in the box. Oh great, are they a kind of gremlin!

But, thanks to the in-laws, the fad has now reached our house and the girls want more and more for them! Have any random fads hit your house?

This is not a review - this is a mummy thinking what the hell? But if you would like to send us Zhu Zhu stuff am sure that two girls would be very happy!! I can also say that they do love playing with them together sans argument (which is fantastic)
